Verslag van het Einde

Director: Martijn Payens
The southern French village of Bugarach has a population of under two hundred. Apart from its gorgeous surroundings, it has little to offer to visitors. There are hardly any shops and it lacks a special attraction. Until the mayor tells the local paper the mountain next to the village will be the only safe place on earth during the predicted apocalypse on 21 December 2012. His statement sparks a huge hype. For months, the village is flooded by international media. How does all this attention affect the villagers?
