When twelve-year-old Tim suddenly disappears, his friends start a search. He hasn’t fallen in the claws of Crazy Marie, has he? This last summer’s evening before the start of secondary school marks the end of their childhood.
They share the sweet and the bitter. But on this last evening of their summer holiday, something gloomy looms over this tight-knit group of friends meeting in the woods, in this coming-of-age film. When Tim is challenged to steal some eggs from Crazy Marie, the strange woman next door that everyone fears, it causes great mirth. But when he subsequently vanishes without a trace, the group sets out on a search that will turn out formative in the transition from childhood to their forthcoming adulthood.
