This Netflix drama series tells the story of the sensational kidnapping of Toos van der Valk, the businesswoman who held a key position at the well-known Dutch Van der Valk hotel chain.
Toos van der Valk has it all: wealth, status and a close-knit family around her husband Gerrit, owners of the largest hotel empire in the Netherlands. When she's kidnapped in November 1982, as depicted in this drama series starring, among others, Lies Visschedijk and Frank Lammers, it becomes a sensational case. As Toos fights for her life, the family does everything they can to find her, clashing with the police, who are slow to take the case seriously. Going undercover as "cousin Cor", officer Cor Mulder moves in with the family to help track her down and keep everyone together.
