Cinematic essay by artist Juul Hondius about the peculiar, wide-ranging and elusive relationship between a sculpture, a symbol and the organisation it represents.
Cinematic essay set against the background of an operation, taking several nights, to move the world-famous steel, star-shaped monument in front of the NATO headquarters in Brussels to its new home base. By means of an imagined dialogue between the narrator and the striking sculpture and between the sculpture and the shifting geopolitical landscape, the film casts a critical glance on NATO as an organisation and examines the filmmaker’s personal, changing political position.
