Short poetic thriller based on the début from 1947 The Room by Harry Mulisch. In this English-spoken black-and-white film, an old man explains how he was obsessed by a mysterious room as a boy. Forty years later he has his notary rent a room. It turns out to be the same room. The Room was directed by Erik Lieshout in cooperation with Rutger Hauer, making his directing début.
