Personal quest in which director Tessa Pope interviews her relatives on a couch in front of her camera, looking for a reason why her father was absent as a father for so long.

Filmmaker Tessa Pope grew up with her mother, brother, half sister and stepfather. Although her father, also a filmmaker, lived in Amsterdam too, he never gave her the feeling he was her father. When she is 27, she decides to capture her quest on film and interview all relatives involved (father, mother, ex-stepfather, ex-stepmother, brother and half-sisters), to see if she can find a reason for her father’s aloofness.
