Short experimental film in which a daughter brings back memories of her father’s hotel near Zagreb, which provided shelter to refugees during the Yugoslavian civil war.

Short experimental film in which a daughter brings back memories of her father’s hotel before and during the Yugoslavian civil war. In this period, the building became a port of refuge for people from all corners of the country, in an area where they had been separated. In the hotel, situated in the woods by a river, emotional and physical boundaries between countries and nations vanished. Briefly. Between composed shots of steel bunkbeds, bare hallways and rooms, the nearby river and wandering human figures, their stories live on.
