In her work, the Flemish choreographer Ann Van den Broek incorporates extreme experiences and emotions. The documentary filmmaker follows the realisation of Van den Broek’s production The Black Piece, which premiered in 2014, and joins her on the tour. The film presents a probing portrait of a choreographer whose life and work are firmly interwoven. Van den Broek demands unconditional dedication from both her dancers and herself, which results in a complex love-hate relationship with the people around her.
