Pioneering TV series with social media extensions about a group of secondary school students. Remake of a Norwegian phenomenon that is broadcast both linear and online and invites interaction.
'Skam' means shame in Norwegian. This Dutch Skam shows viewers how today’s adolescent generation deals with shame. The series uses video and social media to reach the target group. Because it is unclear when, where in what form the next narrative snippet will appear, the viewers or followers are goaded to discuss things among themselves. This way, Skam plays a game with the blurring border between fiction and reality.
