The fashion photography of Jasper Abels (1987) adorns the covers of many a fashion magazine. Also in his autonomous work, glamour, beauty and fantasy play a prominent role. But if you look closer, you also see a darker side, in the short documentary about this photographer and visual artist. After Abels lost both his brother and his sister to suicide, working on his photographs and collages is a way for him to stay connected with his parents, thus resisting the lure of the dark.
