Sinterklaas en het geheim van het grote boek

Director: Martijn van Nellestijn
Light-hearted family film for the little ones in which the evil Dr. Brein lets himself be crowned the new St. Nicholas to sabotage the annual celebrations. The real St. Nicholas has to go to hospital because he tripped during the annual 'roof riding' exam. When the Peters finally see through Dr. Brein's wicked plan, it turns out the big book with all the children's names has disappeared. The pursuit eventually leads to the white beaches of sunny Curacao. The cast includes a few remarkable supporting parts, for Rita Verdonk and Gerard Joling. Actress Hetty Heyting appears as the crazy Tante Til from the classic TV series De familie Knots, throwing a daub of pink paint on the screen. This is already the fourth St. Nicholas film by director Martijn van Nellestijn. His fifth St. Nicholas adventure, Sinterklaas en de verdwenen pakjesboot, will have its premiere this autumn.
