They dreamed of a better life, but returned deeply embittered: the Nigerian women who ended up in illegal prostitution in Dutch and other European cities, where they were exploited and humiliated. This musical documentary portrays the underprivileged women who try to regain control of their lives by training as car mechanics in the Lady Mechanic garage in Nigeria. But here, too, they bump into numerous obstacles. Tribute to the zest of women who manage to keep going, despite everything.
