Evelien, spastic from birth, yearns for intimate contact and recognition of who she is. Sexual Healing follows her brave search for intimacy, in which she does not shun taboos.
Evelien has been spastic all her life and so far has had only disappointing sexual experiences. She is at the beginning of a search for intimacy, discovers new parts of herself and her body, and gradually opens up to everything she concealed all her life. And this clashes with an ingrained low self-esteem. A documentary about the need for intimate, human contact for everyone and how complex this can be if having sex is not evident.
