Portrait of Flemish David Van Reybrouck, one of the most all-round authors of his generation. Besides his well-known historical work Congo, he wrote essays, prose, poetry and plays.
Documentary series in twelve instalments celebrating the meeting between literature and cinema. The writers’ portraits form a cross section of the state of affairs in both disciplines. The films show the authors’ mainsprings and the way these are expressed in their books. Dick Tuinder signed up for the portrait of Flemish David Van Reybrouck, one of the most all-round authors of his generation. Besides his well-known, AKO Literatuurprijs-winning work Congo, he wrote essays, prose, poetry and plays.
