When the maternity visits and assistant have left and night falls, single mothers are all alone with their babies. During these long, dark hours, exhaustion and happiness battle for precedence.
There you are, in the dead of night, a single mother of a tiny human being who has only been in this world for a few days. Do other mothers who are all on their own silently cry as well when feeding their baby at night? Cry with joy and fatigue at the same time? The night often feels long and lonesome. Emotions seem magnified and nobody is around to put them into perspective. In this intimate documentary, various women talk about their fresh motherhood, which precisely during these dark hours gradually turns into something to cherish.
