Simone makes a U-turn. Along with her husband Eric and their two children, the young mother leaves for France to turn a dilapidated country house into a chambre d’hôtes. The conversion runs far from smoothly and Simone increasingly loses confidence in the project. Emotionally estranged from her pushy husband, she takes refuge in an affair with one of the French construction workers, the attractive Michel. But then the problems really start.
