With graceful and confident gestures, a Japanese railway conductor keeps the human flow at a train station under control in this tragicomic dance film. Until his eye spots a poster of one of Japan’s most famous prints. He feels uplifted by the Big Wave, before landing in a grey world where people no longer obey him. Looking to regain some strength and grip, on a platform facing him he notices a European woman struggling with a pile of suitcases
