Leon’s apartment underpins the stereotype of the hopeless bachelor: mounds of pizza boxes pile up around the sad single. At some point, there are so many pizza scraps that together with Leon’s tears they form a new creature. Leon embraces this pizza monster as an end to his lonely existence. Finally, he has someone again to impose his world view on. But the pizza monster starts developing more and more feelings of its own in this equally grubby and saddening short film.
