The Dutch landscape architect and gardener Piet Oudolf acquired world renown with creations that forever changed the public space. The documentary shows him working on several projects. The filmmaker also accompanies him to some of his celebrated parks and gardens, such as De Vlinderhof in Utrecht, The High Line in New York and the Maximilianpark in Hamm, Germany. Meanwhile, Oudolf is beautifying his own dream garden ever further and responds to the question where are longing for paradise actually stems from.
