A girl and her shadow beast set out to buy an ice cream, but encounter some neighbourhood kids. The animation style is unaffected, the elaboration and the racism message are poignant.

A little girl sets out to buy an ice cream, accompanied by her big grey shadow beast. She comes face to face with the neighbourhood kids, who question her presence. She is unaware of any guilt, but the encounter takes a fierce turn. Drawn animation poignantly broaches the phenomenon of racism. 2016 Animation Wildcard winner.
