Drama about two friends who celebrated New Year’s Eve fifteen years ago at a bar in Volendam, where they survived a devastating fire. They find out that the wounds still have not healed.
The Dutch fisherman Johan works in Norway, but a phone call from his native village of Volendam leaves him no choice: he will have to go back to his family. After his return, Johan meets his old friend Chris. Fifteen years ago, the two men and their friends were in the bar where the notorious New Year’s fire destroyed many young lives. It is clear that to this day the old wounds, both physical and mental, have not healed. Drama about friendship, feelings of guilt and the long arm of a huge catastrophe.
