When a suicidal man serving a life imprisonment receives letters from an imaginative girl who wants to do her school talk about murderers, she manages to give him zest for life and a sense of freedom. A correspondence of years follows. When she is 18, she is allowed to visit him. When he falls in love with her, the convict wakes up to reality and his lifelong fate. Bittersweet drama in which prison walls allow a lot, but make even more impossible.
