Surinam Johnny is the king of the bingo hall in Amsterdam-North. But his life is futureless, as captured by Lonwijk in subdued images. Johnny prefers to dream about his plans for building a house in Suriname, far from his mother, who is addicted to gambling. In the meantime, he sends every Euro there that he earns. He needs one last smasher to reach his goal, but first he has to choose between his mother and his new flame Monique.
