Decisive day in the lives of two brothers in Den Helder. The elder is released from prison; the younger will go on a peace mission the next day. Their paths cross.
The town of Den Helder, on the northernmost tip of North Holland, is the disconsolate backdrop of this double character study. Two brothers are at a crossroads in their lives: the elder brother is released from prison, where he served time for committing a violent crime; the younger brother will go on a long peace mission as a marine the next day. They kill time in different places, while their paths regularly cross. Both carry a secret within, which will lead to a catharsis.
