Niemand in de stad

Director: Michiel van Erp
Juicy, sexy and sensitive adaptation of Philip Huff’s bestseller, in which the end of a group of students’ carefree college days rapidly draws near. Convincing, owing to strong performances by a young cast and the keen eye of a director who is typically known from his documentaries.
Three friends experience the highs and lows of their time as members of an Amsterdam fraternity. It is a turbulent period in which they try, with varying degrees of success, to break free from their parents and backgrounds. They experience passionate love affairs, wild parties, they binge, bluster and learn the true meaning of friendship. A sudden death within their group puts everything on edge. What kind of a man are you when you have grown up and have to bear responsibility for your choices? Drama about friendship, desires and growing up, with a keen eye to detail, situated in a microcosm, but at the same time very universal.
