Lilet is a traumatised girl who has lived and learned too fast for her twelve years. The Filipino teen regularly runs away from her mother and stepfather who want to exploit her as a prostitute. Lilet manages to hold her own on the nocturnal streets of Manila, but she is not happy. She does dream: In her perception, her absent father is a famous actor and she fantasises about becoming rich and famous. A Dutch social worker tries everything in her power to help this maladjusted, obstinate girl, but Lilet seems determined to listen to nobody anymore; after all, no one wishes her well. Meanwhile, in the voice-over, Lilet tells her own tragic version of the tale of Snowwhite. Character-driven drama about a girl that seems past praying for.
