Comic feature film about an actor who is also constantly acting in his private life. His wife can no longer stand his company and breaks off their relationship. The man sets out on a journey and ends up in a small, dilapidated house in the country. His neighbour and her little daughter soon turn out to be a new audience for him. In a little shack, he stages two miniature plays with the aid of clothes pegs, ladles and tea towels. The short performances prove infectious to the two spectators, who proceed to climb the miniature stage. Next, the three entertain each other with apparently insignificant and silly performances, but these turn out to have a necessity for each of them. Lastpak is Frans van der Staak's personal examination of the possibilities of cinematography.
