KORT! - Dagdromen

Director: Yim Brakel
Zoë is seriously ill and cannot attend school. She follows the lessons from her hospital bed via a TV linkup. Three secondary school students reflect on her absence in this poetic triptych.
The three protagonists in this short film are, in separate ways, connected with the seriously ill Zoë. Classmate Jonathan is a romantic who is secretly in love with her. Another classmate, Yahya, has been appointed Zoë’s buddy, to his surprise; he has to set up the monitor and camera at school so she can follow the lessons from the hospital bed. Her brother Egon finally, is tormented by thoughts of life and death due to his sister´s illness. Via voice-overs, the three boys share their innermost feelings with us.
