A parrot as the narrator of this documentary? Sure. It is the aged Koki, who used to be owned by the former Yugoslavian president Tito. In five chapters, the bird looks back.
Not a human being, but an animal has the leading role in this short autobiographical documentary. In voice-over, he tells his story himself! After all, Koki (67) is a talking parrot, and the former pet of Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito. Koki, Ciao combines archive footage with recordings of Koki 'today'. Shot over a period of four years in and around the Brijuni villa where Tito lived before his decease and received world leaders and other celebrities - and their gifts. Including various animals.
