The weird and wonderful world of the artist Jheron­imus Bosch is the focal point of this research adven­ture. A team of experts tries to unravel the mystery around 25 still existing paintings.
A research team tries to unravel the mystery of the 25 still existing paint­ings by Jheron­imus Bosch. For five years, the experts travel all over the world. Using sophis­ti­cated tech­nology, they pene­trate the works down to their deepest layers of paint. Were all the paint­ings really made by Bosch himself? The focal point of the research adven­ture is the weird and wonderful imag­i­nary world of this medieval sorcerer’. In addi­tion, the docu­men­tary reveals the polit­ical game played by Het Noord­bra­bants Museum to get as many works as possible to the large Bosch retro­spec­tive exhi­bi­tion in Den Bosch.
