As the result of a hold-up, a man suffers memory loss. He decides to break through his impotence and undertake an extraordinary odyssey through a 21st century Europe in turmoil. Guided by unusual encounters, he tries to gain insight into the chaos of the time. In her feature debut, Fiona Tan alternates fiction with documentary images. This produces an associative whole in which the dazed, travelling man’s adventures tempts viewers to muse about identity, history and our place in the world.
