The crossing that the first generation of Turkish women made 45 years ago from Turkey to the Netherlands is now made in the opposite direction by some of their daughters and granddaughters. This documentary interweaves these two migrations and visualises the choice to stay or go back through the lives of four Turkish women. They candidly explain how they deal with missing the old culture and struggle with the new one.
