Feature film début light-heartedly deals with the integration issue, telling about the six-year-old Chinese girl Winky Wong, who moves from Shanghai to a Dutch coastal town with her mother. Her father runs a small restaurant there. She has to get used to the Dutch school and feels lonely. She finds comfort with Saartje, an old pony standing in a paddock. Until Saartje suddenly dies. Just before the feast of St Nicholas, Winky finds out that the Saint is a sweet man from who you can ask anything you want. This gives her an idea. She asks for a horse! The film is based on the book Winky and the horse of St Nicholas by Tamara Bos and was awarded the MovieSquad Junior Award.
