Digna Sinke combines feature, documentary and personal observations in a story about a photographer capturing the energy transition in the Amsterdam port area, which evokes a torrent of memories and associations.
This experimental film by Digna Sinke, who was granted the Golden Calf for Film Culture in 2023, presents a possible feature film and real documentary fragments. It revolves around photographer Lea, who remains off-screen. She scours the Amsterdam port area in search of the highest viewpoint for a project about the energy transition. Here, she meets a man (Gijs Naber), but she also finds a corpse. Meanwhile, memories and associations force themselves on her, while filmmaker and character increasingly seem to converge.
