Hemel op aarde

In the late 1970s, thirteen-year-old Bart grows up in a pious Limburg village. The pubescent acolyte manages very well in his deeply religious family, with a mother who ardently moralises that lust is a sin. Until Bart falls head over heels in love with the beautiful but seriously ill Moniek, the daughter of a family of infidels from Antwerp who settle on the village. Romantic coming-of-age drama about the miracle of a first love. Limburg-spoken, with Dutch subtitles.
