Portrait of unrecognised artist. Gerard Beijn tries to complete his life’s work, but every attempt leads to new paintings and ideas.
Artist Gerard Beijn tries to dispose of his life’s work. Around the turn of the century, he recapitulated the life of Jeanne d’Arc in twelve man-sized paintings. Paradoxically, his desire to complete this project led to other works. And these have now become a burden. Beijn radically decides to put his paintings into music. Unfortunately, he can’t read music. A coloured portrait of an unrecognised artist, seen through his daughter’s eyes.
