Short debut film about how far love stretches. Now that Otto can no longer get through to his wife Hannah, who is deep in the throes of dementia, he remembers what he promised her. But can he do it?
Hannah deals with the impact that dementia has on a relationship. When Hannah, a successful surgeon, starts experiencing amnesia and has trouble recognising faces, she initially thinks it is due to an imminent burn-out. But when she makes a fatal medical error, it is clear what is really the matter. She finally realises what is wrong, and she makes her husband promise her that he, when she will no longer be mentally competent, will end her life.
