Twenty-somethings Loet and Emma are a couple, but despite their sincere intentions, unmistakable mutual attraction, tenderness and devotion to their relationship, ultimate intimacy is not granted to them. This leaves Loet with a burning frustration. He becomes irascible; he longs to regain a grip on the situation.
