Future Me

Director: Vincent Boy Kars
Helped by actor Martijn Lakemeijer, Vincent Boy Kars tries to get a clear idea of his deep-rooted anxieties and desires. This last part of his millennial trilogy is an equally candid and personal undertaking.
Can you become a free person, in spite of the past you carry within? In this last instalment of Vincent Boy Kars’ personal millennial trilogy, the filmmaker gives himself and his inner world centre stage. He examines through therapy, cinematographic imagination and psychodrama – with actor Martijn Lakemeier in the role of Vincent Boy Kars– how he has become what he is today and who he wants to be in the future. And where is the borderline between Vincent the director and Vincent the character?
