When thirteen-year-old Brandon, who has a hard time at home, is caught burgling a judo school, it has unforeseen consequences, in this thrilling coming-of-age film. Can he escape the ruthless street life?
To impress the members of a youth gang, Surinamese-Dutch Brandon burgles a judo school. He is caught by dojo leader Kai, who offers him a choice: Either he reports himself to the police, or he will take judo classes from him. When Brandon chooses the latter, he even turns out to be a talented judoka. He drifts away further and further from his life on the street and Kai enters him for an important tournament. But while he prepares for this, gang leader Billy is on the doorstep with a new assignment.
