Remco Campert recites his own poem about himself as a 'bashful young man' who in 1945 wrote poetry about trees while Europe celebrated its liberation. With a rubbery, large-eyed chap and swinging music.
In voice-over, Remco Campert recites his own poem. In a round 3D-animated world, a rubbery, large-eyed chap writes a poem about a birch trunk on 5 May 1945. While puppet soldiers, doing the conga to a bumpy melody, want him to celebrate the liberation with them. `And I, bashful young man, really needed to sing the praises of the pure birch.' Ten years later, nothing has changed.
