De zeven deugden (The seven virtues) is a seven-part TV series focusing on these virtues. This episode is about 'courage'. When the nervous Bobby stays on the farm during his summer holiday, the farmer's son has an accident and ends up in a wheelchair. During his stay in hospital, Bobby is left alone with the gruff farmer and his vicious dog Wodan. Once he comes out of hospital paralysed from the neck down the son makes it clear he wants to end his life. Neither the local minister or his indifferent father is willing to help him. On the last day of his holiday, Bobby takes a courageous decision.
