Fine artist Henk Peeters, who died in 2013, was the unflagging organiser and spokesman of the 'anti-painting-alike' Nul movement - for some an exhibition vehicle, for others a way to attack the sacred cows of art. Almost all Nul artists, including Armando and Jan Schoonhoven, bade farewell to the movement in 1965, with the exception of Peeters. The documentary shows that Peeters tried to stay faithful to the ideals for a long time, in his art and in his life.
