After fifteen years, the animated teacher Teade Walma, who used to work at a school for asylum seekers, re-establishes contact with his former pupils Mina from Iraq, Hamza from Burundi and Melika from Iran. At the time, Teade was deeply moved by these children, who had to make a new start while feeling detached and uprooted. To ‘capture’ them, he made portraits of all children and resolved to look them up one day. Back then, they were full of energy and vigour, but how are they doing today, as young adults?
