Unconventional, at once hilarious and tragic drama series about the adventures of 11-year-old Piet and Donnie, who live with their mothers in a commune where quick-tempered Bert holds sway.
In the mid-1980s, the eleven-year-old Piet and Donnie live together with other children and their mothers in a commune run by Bert, who is hot-tempered and sometimes throws kefir at people. Because the mothers are mainly self-absorbed, the children have to sort things out for themselves. And they do, in this drama series in eight episodes featuring several rib-tickling, recognisable and absurd elements. The children try to survive, almost despite the grownups, within the confusing and sometimes even harmful communal bubble.
