Tessa, working as a successful plastic surgeon, opens her private clinic. She seems to be at the eve of what will be a glorious continuation of her career. As a woman, she is thriving in every respect: smart, professional, happily married and with an intelligent adolescent son. But appearances deceive, because Tessa is lonelier than ever. Her marriage is faltering and her husband is in the doldrums and has a drop too much every day. In addition, the alterations to the house, supervised by a rather alternative contractor, threaten to end in disaster.
