A little lie has large consequences for ten-year-old Reina, who is ashamed of her home situation and claims her grandpa is a child molester. Can she still rectify this lie?
After school, Reina plays with Mees in the schoolyard. She loses track of time and is startled when she sees her grandfather in the yard with his Canta. Mees does not know that Reina temporarily lives with her grandpa and grandma and that they, instead of Reina’s parents, will go to the parent-teacher meeting. Ashamed, Reina invents a lie to hide grandpa’s identity from Mees. Not knowing that when the lie will be revealed later that evening, her shame will only grow.
