At a time when fake news and lies undermine the fabric of our society, the Vatican dispatches the sceptical priest Filippo to investigate an alleged miracle. A video of a weeping statue of Maria has gone viral. Filippo, notorious for debunking purported miracles, travels to a Limburg border community that suffers from a collective trauma. As Filippo comes closer to solving the matter, he gets embroiled in the villagers’ grief.
