After suffering a cerebral haemorrhage two years ago, nothing is the same anymore for 21-year-old Jasmijn. She and her mother are constantly looking for the right balance between care and independence.

Two years ago, the 21-year-old Jasmijn suffered a cerebral haemorrhage during a trip. Once back home, everything changed, not only for Jasmijn, but also for her parents and two younger brothers. Mother Peronne is faced with a permanent dilemma: when should I guide her, when should I keep my distance? She takes her daughter by the hand to discover her capacities, but at the same time she is a scapegoat for anything Jasmijn runs up against. The documentary shows to what extent both Jasmijn and her mother are looking for the right balance between care and independence.
