Documentary about the ground-breaking animated films with which animation pioneers Joop Geesink and Marten Toonder conquered the world. In 1942, they founded the Geesink-Toonder Teekenfilm-Productie company, which put them at the cradle of the Dutch animated film. Later, they each founded separate companies. Through vivid stories from former staff members, the film depicts a success story that only ended in the 1970s.
